'' One spring day after the sun had warmed up my studio; a few wasps thawed out and started accompanying me. They were flying really close and in slow motion and were curious as to what I was up to. I was actually working on my daffodil relief so I decided to include one of my visitors in that relief. I sculpted a large version of just the wasp for detail’s sake. I was fascinated with the way the abdomen and hind legs dangled as they fly. I attempted to create the illusion of wing movement and motion by sculpting blurred wing images and flight trails.
